Vision
Leeds United supporters' groups in every major city in North and South America that host meetups for every game and give back to their local communities.
Values
Inclusivity: Be welcoming of all Leeds United fans, regardless of their background.
Democracy: Give members a voice. Be Transparent. Consider all members when making decisions. Celebrate our collective successes.
Quality: Do what we do well. Build a team to get more things done. Host organized meetups. Share great experiences.
Mission
Leeds United Americas is a coalition of Leeds United supporters’ groups that exists to provide communal resources such as a website, mailing list and national meetups. It is independent from but connected to and engaged with Leeds United Football Club.
Group Definition
Located in North or South America
Has designated leader(s)
Arranges meetups to watch games
Has designated venue for meetups
Minimum 10 members on LUA mailing list
Leader Role
There aren’t any strict requirements or definitions of LUA leaders but those who are should act on behalf of Leeds United supporters in their city/locality. It shouldn’t be overly burdensome or an excessive time commitment but groups can have multiple leaders to share the load.
Leader Responsibilities
Informal chat via LUA Leaders WhatsApp group
Read occasional emails with important information
Add meetups to the group socials
Attend occasional LUA Leaders Zoom calls
Encourage people to join LUA/mailing list
LUA Responsibilities
Host website, signup form for LUA membership/mailing list
Maintain mailing list for all groups, sending emails to share weekend meetups
Repost/share content from groups on socials
Post upcoming weekend meetups on socials
Share photo collage after weekend meetups
