This page explains the administration required to operate Leeds United Americas.

Chair

• Hosts regular Zoom meetings

  • Schedule via Zoom, build agenda, invite guest speakers, chair meeting

• Onboard new groups

  • Share How to Start a Group guide for prospective groups

  • Share Leaders Guide when groups become official

• Maintain relationships via text, calls and meetings:

  • Dan Moylan (The Square Ball), Adam Pope (BBC) Graham Smyth (YEP), Bryn Law (LUTV), Mike Keegan (Daily Mail), John Mann (LUSN), CBS Sports production team, Paraag Marathe, ex-players, and various others at LUFC

Treasurer

• Maintain the LUA Financial Report

• Covering cost of overheads, ~$800/annually

  • Google, Zoom, Domain, MailChimp, Big Cartel

• [New for 2025] Incorporate LUA, file for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status

Creative

• Design new group logos

• Design LUA merch

• Oversee visuals of website and social media accounts

Technology

• Add new groups. Spreadsheet, WhatsApp and leaders database. Plus...

  • Website: Add Page, add logo and link on Home, edit code on Join, add to Maps,

  • Mailchimp: Add field, move members, add logo and bar to email template

• Send weekly meetup emails

  • Create a spreadsheet of meetups based on group socials posts.

  • Build a segment of groups in MailChimp

  • Write one email with dynamic content that changes specific to who receive it

Social Media

• Post upcoming weekend meetups

• Repost content from groups

• Share photo collage after weekend meetup

• X/Twitter: 2,000+ followers

• Bluesky: 2,000+ followers

• Instagram: 1,200+ followers

• Facebook: 1,400+ members

• LinkedIn: 200+ followers

• TikTok: 1,000+ followers

Merch

• Source suppliers for merch

• Co-ordinate merch launches with Creative

• Respond to merch enquiries sent to contact@luamericas.com

  • 78 emails sent/replied to in August 2024
